August seems to not only be a dumping ground for the theaters, but for DVD as well. It seems studios are pushing titles that faired poorly in the theaters now and holding off several of their better films for the holiday season. Smart move I suppose, but I would have probably picked them up anyway. However there are a few little gems here and there this week worth your attention, so let?s find out the roster for this week?s New Release Tuesday!

Brandon may have tried to blow this ship out of the water, but did I find this DVD to sink like dead weight?

Mike says Double Indemnity is one of the greatest film noirs of all time, better than the Maltese Falcon or Laura. Well those are some fighting words. We?ll see if he is right.
Well that is it for me; if you won our ?Invincible? tickets for Thursday night, enjoy the show. We saw it last night and well??you will have to wait for my review. I am off to go check out ?Idlewild? and the Twins will be guzzling ?Beer Fest?. Until next time?.
